This is the chronicle of one woman's forays into knitting, crocheting, spinning, embroidery, papercrafts, and whatever else catches my fancy at any given time. Oh, and I talk about my cats a lot, too.

Pay it Forward

I was just visiting the blog of my previous exchange pal, Brooke, and saw this entry:

It’s the Pay It Forward Exchange. It’s based of the concept of the movie “Pay it Forward” where acts or deeds of kindness are done without expecting something in return, just passing it on, with hope that the recipients of the acts of kindness are passed on.
Here is how it works. I will make and send a handmade gift to the first 3 people who leave a comment to this post on my blog requesting to join this PIF exchange. I do not know what that gift will be yet, and it won’t be sent this month, probably not next month, but it will be sent (within 6 months) and that’s a promise!
What YOU have to do in return, then, is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog.Remember, it's the first THREE who comment on the blog that they want to participate in the PAY IT FORWARD exchange.

I think this is a great idea! (of course, we all know that I love sending handmade things out to relative strangers ;-), so I'm going to play, too. I keep whining about bad news. Maybe the deal is that I have to make my own good news. Or maybe I can send good news to someone else.

So, same deal as described above. First three peoople to enter comments are on my pay it forward list! (And if I don't have reason to already know your mailing address, please e-mail me with it.)

Course, as few comments as I usually get, it might take me till early 2010 (and then even longer to get the packages out ;-)!
